Four Family Activities in Queen Creek Arizona
Even though the town of Queen Creek seems to be growing at an incredible rate, people still seem to think of it as the little podunk town with one gas station and a twenty-five-minute drive to a grocery store. Schnepf is one of the original families in Queen Creek and their farm is famous for its peach and pumpkin festivals every year. They are also a great place to watch fireworks every year on the Fourth. Even better than those though, is the "you pick" garden that Schnepf has. Open to the public you are able to go in and pick whatever fresh vegetables you would like, just pay before you go! It's a fun and rewarding experience for little kiddos that may get them more excited to eat their veggies!
Win at Barney Family Sports Complex
The Barneys are another original Queen Creek family and it sure shows. The Barney family sports complex is a great place to take the kids to, with different classes and events, there is even a skating rink inside! Want more of the outdoors? Try hiking San Tan Mountain Regional Park
San Tan Mountain Regional Park is just outside of Queen Creek and offers family-friendly hikes and beautiful views of the area. With two different hiking trails to choose from you can't really go wrong. Both are fairly easy and are a hike till you want to turn back kind of trail. Just make sure that during warmer months you start early and bring plenty of water.
Mansel Oasis Park for any season
Mansel Oasis Park in Queen Creek is the optimal place to burn off some kid-sized energy. Complete with an upper level full of playground equipment you've never seen anywhere else. Want to play the drums at the park? They have them. Want to play a giant xylophone? Well, they have that too. On the lower level, you will find a giant pirate ship splash pad with slides and water dumps and just about anything else a kiddo could ask for in a splash pad. This Queen Creek park also has plenty of Ramadas that can be reserved for birthday parties or other events and there is a large lake in the park that you can go fishing in (with permits of course) so run off some energy at Mansel Oasis without spending a ton at a water park.
