This fits into the bedtime routine. For about an hour before you go to bed, try to avoid watching TV, checking your phone, and using the computer. The light from these gadgets can reduce the production of melatonin, which regulates sleep and wakefulness. The stimulation also makes it harder to calm your mind.
3 - Avoid Chemicals That Disrupt Sleep
Drinking too much caffeine during the day will make it harder to go to sleep at night. Try to limit your consumption, and definitely don't drink too much caffeine at night. Alcohol can disrupt your sleep cycle, also.
4 - Exercise Early in the Day
Exercise is a great way to use excess energy so your body will be ready to sleep. Regular exercise can also reduce your stress levels, which will make it easier to fall asleep when you get in bed. Do keep in mind that exercising too late at night can actually have the opposite effect.
5 - Have Good Mattress
Choose a comfortable mattress that feels right for you, and replace it when it starts to get lumpy or loses its shape.
